Role in the project

ERTICO – ITS Europe is a member of the Steering Committee and is Dissemination and Communication Manager (DCM) for the NeMo project. The DCM oversees the entire communication process, is responsible for internal reporting and management, leads the ERTICO dissemination team and coordinates with other partners. In particular ERTICO manages the Communication Strategy and Plan, communication tools (electronic and print media) and the Stakeholder Forum. ERTICO also participates in Work Package 1 on Actors Needs and Requirements (focusing on the interoperability and regulatory requirements task) and in WP7 on Deployment, business model, operational and organisational issues, leading the Open Deployment and Implementation initiativeNeMo is an important cornerstone of ERTICO’s Electromobility programme that addresses the electrification of vehicles in road transport. The programme’s activities aim to foster an EV marketplace with dedicated and interoperable services integrated into a global mobility service. This programme includes the Electromobility ICT Interoperability Innovation Group (eMI3: http://emi3group.com), of which ERTICO is secretariat and which also includes four other NeMo partners. ERTICO’s contribution to WPs 1 and 7 of NeMo is closely linked and complementary to eMI3’s industry-led work in creating and enhancing electromobility ICT standards.

About ERTICO – ITS Europe

ERTICO – ITS Europe is a public-private partnership of 117 companies and organisations advocating and actively working on the innovation and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) through 4 programmes and a wide range of activities (events, projects, and interest groups).

The ERTICO work programme focuses on initiatives to improve road safety, security and network efficiency whilst taking into account measures to reduce environmental impact. Currently the ERTICO Partnership is working on Connected & Automated Driving, ITS for Urban Mobility, ITS for Freight and Logistics, and Electromobility.

Each programme has identified activities according to short, mid and long term goals, also taking into account interoperability, policy, organisational, financing and international aspects. EU projects, forums, innovation platforms (such as eMI3 above), thought leadership activities and events contribute to these programmes.
