Description: WP1 has created a list of relevant electromobility actors and studied their needs and requirements. It has selected the most relevant business scenarios and use cases, based on which the rest of the Work Packages will continue. It has derived the functional and non-functional requirements for the NeMo Hyper-Network, including business and data privacy and security issues as well as requirements relevant to interoperability and regulatory issues. It also monitors the technology and market developments regarding ICT services, CPOs, DSOs, EMPs, OEMs, roaming platforms and current business models, so as to guide and align the project’s developments.

WP 2 –Specifications, Reference Architecture and Functional Design
WP Leader: GIREVE
Description: WP2 has derived the Hyper-Network specifications regarding interfaces, data, services, security and privacy and defined the Hyper-Network Reference Architecture ensuring interoperability of tools and services. The functional design of the Hyper-Network has been derived with emphasis on interoperability, openness, continuous service and access, roaming, security and privacy by design. WP2 also surveys and monitors electro-mobility and smart-grid standards and protocols for the Hyper-Network integration.

WP 3 – NeMo Data Management
WP Leader: ICCS
Description: WP3 has designed a Common Information Model (meta-model) for each object relevant to the business scenarios selected in WP1. Each object is described based on specific attributes. The current version has been communicated to relevant electromobility working groups and will be continuously refined and updated during the project work. WP3 has designed an open European Inter-Roaming protocol, which allows communication between eRoaming platforms, thus allowing the seamless inter-connection of their business partners. The same protocol allows the connection of a NeMo Hyper-Network business partner with the business partners of the connected eRoaming platforms. Finally, this WP designs tools for the translation of data from proprietary protocols of service providers to the Common Information Model and vice versa, and smart algorithms to act as “virtual” sensors, generating data, or for routing.

WP4 – NeMo Hyper-Network design and development
WP Leader: IBM
Description: This WP performs the low-level design of the Hyper-Network and develops its core services (Service Delivery and Service Creation domains) as well as interface to the OEM backend for secure connection with the EV. It also implements the virtual pan-European eRoaming framework according to the protocol specified in WP3, by connecting existing eRoaming platforms.

WP5 – Electro mobility actors’ services
WP Leader: Mosaic Factor
Description: WP5 develops horizontal smart services, namely a service finder, service rating and actors’ monitoring and profiling. These services are designed and developed on top of the NeMo Hyper-Network, to be integrated and add intelligence to other e-mobility services. Moreover, it provides a set of new and existing (adapted) electromobility services related to the electricity grid, to the Electric Vehicle and BMS as well as to the Electric Vehicle users.
WP6 – Integration and Validation
WP Leader: IDIADA
Description: WP6 focuses on the verification and validation of the NeMo concept and developments. To achieve this, several test sites have been selected to integrate all the project developments: Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Austria. Initially, the Hyper-Network will be deployed in each site and its full operational capabilities will be verified. As different scenarios will be defined for each test site, a specific methodology to evaluate the results will be determined using the same criteria and performance indicators. The on-field testing will be conducted in real conditions in each test site, including a Hakathon for developers, according to the dedicated methodology. The analysis of data collected will allow the validation of the project outcomes according to the requirements and the impact assessment of their market implementation. Finally, a cross-country demonstration event will be organized to demonstrate all the benefits of the NeMo Hyper-Network and of the services developed within this project. This will demonstrated by the same Electric Vehicles travelling across different European countries, seamlessly using electromobility services.
A baseline test drive took place in October 2017, to highlight the issues faced by drivers of electric vehicles in planning and doing long trips.

WP Leader: Renault
Description: WP7 proposes the means to provide harmonised and coherent services among all electro mobility actors, and analyses and studies how to integrate this new service concept in a spread-out electro mobility Hyper-Network. For this, it will study novel business models and roll out processes for the new use cases, it will propose a regulatory framework for open service sharing in Europe and will form a Business Alliance for electro mobility from the project start.

Description: WP9 deals with the project administrative, technical, risk and innovation management.
